Our Aim

It Sounds Like Lincoln Rock is a show that shall be celebrating the musical history of Lincolnshire. We shall be documenting some of the bands and artists that were founded in the county and some of the most famous acts to step foot in the region. We will be helping to promote some of the local bands that are just starting out and are in need of airplay and hopefully should include a couple of short interviews from some of the musicians that are heavily involved in the local music scene. We are also planning on bringing in a musician for a live acoustic performance. We will be publicising some of the local gig listings at some venues close by with possibly a package from a jam night at one!

We included an interview with James Woodliffe of the Vigilantes detailing some of his personal experiences involved in the local music scene, a live phone interview with Lincoln University graduate Marshall Dawn to talk to us about his experiences involved in the local music scene and his personal experiences in the local area.

By the end of the project I would like to have gained confidence in taking on the role of the producer, broadened my knowledge on how to plan out a radio show and the pre production work that goes with it.
